“Until more transport providers are able to be Carbon Neutral, Passenger Bikes will continue to offset more than double its carbon footprint and remain 100% Carbon Negative”
Tom Wickert - Managing Director Passenger Bikes Ltd
Every year almost 20% of the 50 million tonnes of carbon dioxide London generates comes directly from its transport infrastructure. Carbon Dioxide (CO2) building up in the atmosphere is the main cause of global warming.
An increasing number of businesses and individuals are taking steps to reduce their carbon footprint, however, until more of those providing transport to the public are able to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions and offset the remainder to become carbon neutral, Passenger Bikes will ensure by reducing its carbon emissions and offsetting more than double its residual carbon emissions, its operations are 100% carbon negative.
By becoming the worlds first 100% carbon negative transportation company, Passenger Bikes is hoping to set a new standard in the commitment to environmental responsibility taken by all industries and companies.
Although offsetting is not the answer to global warming it is a strong incentive for the company to ensure that emissions are reduced as far as possible because offsetting is an additional cost that has to borne by the company.
